Green Spaces & Natural Places
Developing Green Spaces for Future Generations
NEWCC is working to develop, create, and implement pollinator habitats to serve as mini outdoor science centers in the North End, Highland Park, and Hamtramck.

In the bustling communities of North End Detroit, Highland Park, and Hamtramck, where concrete and steel dominate the landscape, the whispers of nature often go unheard. Imagine walking through a vibrant habitat, filled with native plants swaying in the breeze, the songs of birds filling the air, and families gathering to enjoy the wonders of nature. This is the dream behind our Pollinator Habitat/ Science Center project
By creating these habitats, we provide a refuge for local wildlife, improve air and water quality, reduce flooding, and offer educational opportunities for our community. Learn more about the benefits of green spaces HERE.
