Digital Stewards
Technology is more powerful when communities have the knowledge and skills to shape it.
NEWCC’s Digital Stewards program trains residents to help build, maintain, and strengthen community-based digital infrastructure. Through the Equitable Internet Initiative (EII), Digital Stewards gain hands-on technical skills while learning how technology can support connection, opportunity, and community resilience.
Digital Stewards are more than technology users. They are neighborhood leaders who help communities understand, manage, and participate in the digital systems that increasingly shape everyday life. Training prepares participants to contribute to community-based broadband and digital access projects and to pursue opportunities in technology and related fields.
